Oppose Plan 3 - Do Not Splinter Kirkpatrick Farms Community Post-Elementary

The idea of splintering a neighborhood is horrible for the children and the idea of teaching/building community, bonds and friendships. Absolutely oppose this idea!!!

I support this position, and fundamentally oppose Plan 3 or any plan that splinters the KPF community. Section DS13.3 must be part of the greater KPF zones. I also support and advocate for long-term school capacity assessments to inform school zoning proposals.

Please don’t separate our kids from their friends and classmates! These kids should continue to learn and grow up together !!

We bought our house in Kirkpatrick Farms to be close to family and because of the wonderful schools. This new plan would divide our community in a way that would be a detriment to all who live here. My brother’s family lives in the section being splintered out, while we are on the other side of Braddock. We rely on each other for after school care and the logistics of going to different schools would be extremely difficult. In addition, my kid’s closest friends at Pinebrook live in that section of the neighborhood. The translation to middle school and high school is tough having these friends by their side is important during these impressionable years. Please keep our community together!
