In today's climate there is a constant barrage of pleas to view hardened criminals as victims of a society in which they are oppressed and simply reacting the way any "normal" person would in such an environment. This is fine for the blogosphere, but in the real world when criminals are coddled and put on a mental pedestal in which they are viewed as victims deserving of a second chance, and they are released with the best wishes of their benefactors, the innocent pay with their lives. This has been shown time and again. There is no such thing as rehabilitation or even meaningful remorse. Some people are simply not fit for civilized society, and this man is one of those people. This is not about vengeance or hate, but rather it is a willingness to accept reality as it is rather than as we would wish it to be. I implore those persons with the power to set this man free to do their duty to protect the innocent and keep this man behind bars.

My own daughter is 9 and my wife 36, the same ages as the two victims, so reading about the case this morning hit pretty hard. Please keep this monster locked up.

Why wasn't this animal executed? Why are taxpayers feeding it? It should be raped to death. I hope it rots.

This animal took my aunt and cousins life for no reason, stole her car and drove to Lynn like nothing happened. To top it off, as a result of his actions, my cousin (Debbie's son) killed himself a few years ago because he couldn't deal with the pain anymore. This man changed the lives of so many people and should never ever walk free again. Anyone that could do something of this nature is bound to do it again. Don't tell me he is rehabilitated after 16 years, that is insane. If you want another woman and a 9 year old child dead, then let him out. If you want to honor your pledge to society, let that man rot in jail where he belongs!
