To mandate masks is a violation of our rights as American citizens. It is a violation of our liberties and freedoms. Wearing or not wearing a mask should be a personal decision. It is a matter of personal responsibility, not a matter for the government or local authorities to decide. The media and certain officials have created an atmosphere where people are terrified. Scared of their own hands, scared of the air around them, and scared of the people they come into contact with on a day to day basis. This mindset and atmosphere of fear cannot and should not continue. It is not sustainable, and it should not be “the new normal.”
If we take a look at the boxes that many masks are packaged in, it will will say something similar to “This product is an ear loop mask. This product is not a respirator and will not provide any protection against COVID-19 or other viruses or contaminants.” There is no evidence that suggests wearing a mask will protect you from this virus. There is evidence to suggest that wearing a mask can have detrimental effects, such as lowering your blood-oxygen level. More and more evidence suggests that this virus (with around only a .2 to .3% death rate) is not transmitted through droplets, so a mask will not prevent you from getting this virus.
Anthony Fauci himself said on 60 Minutes that the general public should not be wearing masks.
To mandate masks IS a violation of our freedoms, and if this mandate is passed I will no longer be shopping in Springfield.

I don’t think you have any right to try to make me wear a mask that does not work in the first place this is a free country and if you feel safer with the mask you wear it I am not wearing one. I don’t care what your rules say. I will not wear one.
