I stand in solidarity with this group of people regarding opposition of Lucas bill HB 1591. We proudly homeschool and are very thankful for the freedoms that we currently have. Please protect those freedoms by halting this bill.

The Public Schools are broken - fix them. Homeschooling provides a superior education AND builds families.

The money isn't worth the sacrifice. Homeschooling in Indiana is currently flexible and easily tailored to individual needs. No amount of money will make us sacrifice the very flexibility we started homeschooling to have.

As a former homeschool graduate with a Masters Degree in Constitutional Law, I hate to think of current families losing their freedom to homeschool the way they see fit. Homeschooling WORKS. Don't fix it if its not broken!

Re: HB 1591 Rep. Lucas and other Reps. If MY Grands are any example they are doing great, And their Great Grandfather Sen. James Spurgeon, would be proud of what his Grand Daughter has accomplished..

This is not a "benefit" to home educating families. The government has proven it does not manage programs or funding well. Please do not allow that same government to erode what is working so well for home educating families without government intervention. True help would come in the form of a tax deduction.

Protect homeschool freedoms by keeping government money and control out of our homes and families.
