I have been staring at these emails all afternoon and the level of frustration everyone is feeling about the data collection aspect really hits home for me too. Trying to get anyone in the statehouse to actually return a call is like pulling teeth but I refuse to let them think they can just slip this past us while we are busy living our lives.

We are creeping up on that first hundred mark and honestly if we can just push past that threshold it might actually make them look up from their phones long enough to notice us. Please just toss this link out into the wild one more time because I swear if we lose ground on this now we are never getting it back.

As a nine-year public school teacher, and now five-year home school teacher, I strongly oppose HB 1591's Education Options Account (EOA) plan. I have seen what works in education and what does not. Government assistance and regulations have no place in home education.
I homeschooled for 32 years without government supervision and I know Hoosiers flourish when they have the freedom to teach their own children according to the dictates of their own consciences. Control is not needed. Thanks, but no thanks.
In the age of hacking and identity, this is a huge security risk. Indiana is a homeschool refuge and this bill destroys that. Not to mention, the state is unable to accurately implement their own standardized testing. This would be a disaster waiting to happen!
The main reason my family and I moved to Indiana was because I could freely homeschool my children the way God saw fit for our family. And now that is at risk under Education Options Accounts. Don't try to "fix" the way the homeschoolers in this state do things, it's not br
We homeschoolers do not need EOA/ESAs. We, not the government, know what is best for our children. When government grants money, there are strings attached. It may start with small requirement, but it always leads to big regulation.

Please vote against this bill. If you want to help those who don't have their kids in public schools financially give them a tax credit. It is cheaper for the state also since you don't need new bureaucracy to regulate it.
