I am elderly and very healthy. However, I cannot make my way around Rivington, Clinton, Ludlow and other LES streets that I grew up on because there are so many drunk people literally falling down on top of pedestrians, fighting, arguing, vomitting, etc. The seniors of this community who built this community are being menaced by some of these bar patrons and the "Bourbon Street" atmosphere. The LES has always welcomed nightlife, but we have hit the limit and it must be immediately reduced. This is OUR community and the drunk people from outside are not honoring our quality of life.

Living 200 feet away on the 4th floor means I should not have to hear the music and patrons of this bar but I do. They stand outside smoking and screaming like people don't live here. It is bad enough that we have new bars on Clinton St. making noise as well as the bar on 174 Rivington but 155 Rivington has been a continuous offender. We're over saturated with bars that allow their patrons to run around and hang outside like it's adult daycare then the pump the music to add to it. It's disgusting. We are surrounded by schools, some of these bars are also in violation for being too close to a school as well as too close to one another. How can the community board or the city justify the violation of these rules?

There are so many bars! We have been fighting this fight for so long! No more bars! There are enough places to get drunk and throw up.

Our neighborhood is saturated with bars, nightclubs, lounges promoting alcohol to mostly young people. Increasing density of alcohol outlets affects public health in a negative way. https://www.cdc.gov/pcd/issues/2013/12_0090.htm

The already existing bars are out of hand we don't need more. I feel less safe in the neighborhood now then I did 35 years ago.

Enuff w/ the bars. SLA commissioner already said the LES has more bars than anywhere in the country. We already have the record.

There is no public benefit for continuing to license problematic premises with a long and adverse history in our community. We desperately need retail diversity and daytime businesses.
