Oppose Increase in DUs Allowed Per Acre

Overdevelopment in this area will increase traffic and will affect our schools which are already over crowded. We oppose this development .

DR Horton is also responsible for 90 homes off Mt. Rose at Edmonton. We have been advised they are cost effective builders with a below average rating. They will bring all our residential values down and increase population without the infrastructure in place. I hope they follow through with previous builders Towne Development promises.

While development is good, the primary reason I moved to the area we did is for more room between my neighbors. Also, added traffic is detrimental to why I moved to a slower pace area. Finally, if I am having a heck of a time just putting a small detached garage on my large property then why can a developer get to just change how many homes are put on a lot. I also feel that maybe the developer should make all the homes in the area to city sewer rather than septic. Just some ideas.

Overdevelopment is irresponsible to the environment.

Enough is enough - we all prefer the less dense character of semi-suburban and semi-rural Reno.....

I think we need to have the Planning officials drive on Arrowcreek and Zolezzi at 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. so that they can too feel the pain of stop and go before reaching Virginia Street. That intersection is already congested and with the last year's rain and flooding on that intersection, we will have even bigger issues on hand, if we have a similar winter. Lastly, where are all those kids going to go to school. Has anyone visited Lenz Elementary lately?

This amendment to the MDS zoning has far reaching implications that erodes the rural nature of our community for the sole benefit of the developers. I oppose any amendment to the Character plan.

I do not support the over development of this area.

The development of this land is a major concern due to it being next my children’s school. The environment, safety, and traffic will all have a significant impact.

I oppose this petition. There is quite enough congestion in this area.

This area should remain unincorporated, the parking, traffic and congestion will create lots of problems.

Do not support ANY changes to density in the Whites Creek/Thomas Creek. I am a resident of this area and do NOT approve of these changes.

I am opposed to high density housing and the traffic and congestion that results from this type of housing. I moved from CA to get away from this. Preserve the beauty and views of south Reno.

I oppose this change in MDS zoning for parcel 162-010-31. There is a long-standing precedent for residential development in this area being restricted to a minimum of 1/3 acre lots. Allowing a modification of long-standing zoning codes to enhance profitability for the developer. Altering neighborhood development standards will adversely affect existing property values and neighborhood character. This is the tip of the iceberg towards down-zoning in this area and should be rejected.
