We the undersigned object to the proposed restructuring of the Estates and Facilities department. The cuts will lead to: • Reduced services for students and staff. • Job losses that disproportionately affect the lowest paid staff. • Pay increases for the department’s senior management, whilst some of the lowest paid workers face pay cuts. • Added layers of management and increased bureaucracy. • More private contractors and fewer staff directly employed by the Institute of Education. • Elimination of allowances, such as overtime payments, resulting in drastic cuts in living standards for low paid staff.
