Bathurst Basin would be dominated by this large vessel and I’m concerned that the owner of the boat is being forced to move.

I do not believe that Bathurst Basin has permission for residential moorings. It also seems clear that numerous local residents, businesses and the boat owner herself object to the proposal. Therefore I would like to register by objections.

Bristol is not in general an attractive city but it’s steadily improving and a major improvement has been The General. BCC should support such private efforts which benefit all and locating the Ebernezer to the Bathurst Basin will only detract from what has been achieved.

Moving the boat breaches the council’s mooring policy and there doesn’t look as though there is enough room for the other boats to move around if a big boat like the Ebenhaezer is permanently docked in Bathurst Basin.

We have worked hard over the past 20 years to put Bristol on the map for food we have gained a michelin star for Casamia and Paco tapas bringing a lot of People to Bristol from all over the world to dine with us. We feel this boat the Ebenhaezer will be an eye sore and its far too big to be in such a small Basin of the docks

Not only does this go against council policy, it will remove the turning circle in the basin which is used by leisure craft and by social events such as school-kids kayak football.
It is totally inappropriate and there are many alternative moorings available.

Move is not aligned with council policy to avoid having vessels moored in the Basin with residents occupying vessel full time. Further more size of vessel significantly reduces 'free water area' in the basin and increses risk exposure to manouvering vessels . Richard

The Basin is ill equipped to deal with a residential boat of that size. It will impact on the local amenities as well as local high end businesses such as Casa Mia. Finally I understand the owner of the boat is happy with their current location so the move seems to be a waste of time and money.
