I live in Coaster Circuit in 1 of the original homes in this development and 2 yrs ago in asked in the sales office if you could build a Duplex or like dwellings in here and was told that it wasn't allowed so how come you can do it now,you just can`t change the rules

This D.A. for a dual occupancy @ 61 Summercloud Crescent is totally incompatible with the original master plan & the building design as stipulated to all of us who bought & built with the understanding that the Bayswood Development was a low density style of housing. The adjoining properties would be denied the solar aspects that they originally designed their buildings to accommodate. Parking is limited & the adjacent street front does not provide for excess vehicles. I’m extremely concerned & disappointed that we again have been asked to examine & reject an incompatibil D.A. There is insufficient on street parking for dual occupancy in Bayswood. Parked ng bays are often used for permanent parking of caravans and similar. The original master plan had excluded dual occupancy and was changed without residents consent.Dual occupancy increases the likelihood of short term rental such as air bnb which does not add to the community but causes disruption to residents.

The proposed development is incompatible with the Bayswood Master Plan which was developed with a vision of single dwellings on each block. It is a low density concept. Any determination to allow dual occupancy on any block within the estate increases this to medium density and therefore ought to be opposed. Council has a responsibility to keep faith with residents rather than allow Sydney based companies to apply state based planning regulations to a location that they have no interest in or knowledge of or concern for the impact that it will create locally. Once again traffic concerns are both legitimate and obvious with the most likely outcome being an overflow onto the street on a corner. I strongly oppose dual occupancy in Summercloud Crescent and more broadly in the Bayswood Estate.

Summercloud - bulk and scale of DA not compatible with current dwellings in Bayswood (single dwellings). The DA is not sympathetic with the streetscape and does not complement the existing and desired future character of the area - lack of adequate parking facilities will lead to cars on council strip, posing a safety hazard for residents. In addition, Summercloud is a perimeter road where in times of emergencies (i.e fires), emergency vehicle access and manoeuvrability will be compromised posing further risk to resident properties

Summercloud Crescent resident, this is NOT what we were ‘sold’. It’s supposed to be a family residential estate with blocks as they were sold, not blocks subdivided to be tiny with the potential for too many cars trying to park with no parking facility provided.
