Petition to Oppose the Consolidation of the Juniata County "East End" Schools

Bad idea!!!

i do not think consolidation of these schools is right. i think that EJ and Juniata would not have rivals anymore. the kids of both of these schools love the competition.

I am not in favor of consolidation of elementary schools.

It won't save that much money, and the classes are to large as it is. I also think the bus rides are way to long as it is.

Terrible idea!!

My grandchildren get on the bus at 7:00a.m.. and get off the bus at 4:30 p.m. we only live 5 miles from the school. How much longer will they be on the bus if we consolidate. I can drive to Harrisburg in less time.

I oppose the consolidation. My kids attend Thompsontown-Delaware Elementary; I love the small class sizes and how well the kids, as a class and whole school, get along.

I think this consolidation needs put on the ballet and let the people of Juniata County decide.

I oppose the consolidation of Juanita County Schools

Using cost of transportation as a rock solid answer, POOR THINKING< Transportation is a variable cost with no controls, Buses, Fuel, insurances, Drivers & Driver benefit cost all subject to go up without warning. Seems as our board has no clue how expenses actually work!! Tax Increases will follow at an alarming rate.

NO Consolidation !!

It didn't work out well in Mifflin County so I don't know why Juniata County thinks it will work out well there. Children will always learn better in smaller class sizes where they can receive one on one help if they are struggling. Larger class sizes will eliminate most of the additional help any students may need.

Enough enough let stuff the way it is and quit pushing this lever bs down our throats.

Let it alone why have all these kids in 1 school and have bigger classrooms smaller is better

leave the schools the way they are they were that way when i went there and i turned out just fine and im sure it will be that way for many years to come !!

Our kids need the one on one attention that they are getting right now. Larger schools are not the answer. There are enough kids that are just getting pushed through the system right now.

this is just a waste of the taxpayers money and will not make the students any smarter. What ever happened to the 3Rs. Give them a pencil and a tablet and allow them to learn the old fashion way. I did and I am still alive.

For heaven sakes leave the schools alone. Makes sense they want to combine ej and jhs but move the younger kids 15 miles from home. Yep makes sense.
