Oppose Cigna’s Decision to Not Cover the Cost of OxyContin in 2018

I have recently been disagnosed with type2 Complex Regional Pain Syndrome which is one of the most painful chronic pain syndrome that there is. I am a Cigna member currently paying for the best coverage. I deserve the best medication that will provide relief for my excruciating pain, which will remain for the rest of my life. CRPS patients rely on this coverage to survive. It should be the doctor's who make the medical choices, not insurance. Huge overreach and abuse of power.

There is NO logical reason for this decision, other than money since OxyContin is already manufactured with abuse deterrent properties. This medicine already works for patients, don't make them change with the potential that the new meds will not work as well

Don't stop helping the legitimate chronic pain patients. Do your jobs please. You can do better than this

Crps listed higher than childbirth, amputation and cancer pain on McGill pain scale. Chronic pain patients have REAL medical conditions too.

Please don’t punish the ones that really need this drug because of what’s happening in this world with people abusing the drug just like anything else a group suffers the consequences because the action of others

I experience burning pain 24/7, but during a flare-up, this pain will drastically increase to the point where I can’t even stand to have my toes touching each other. I am astonished by the fact that I look at my foot and there are no flames there, it sure feels like it. Imagine having your foot soaked in gasoline and lit on fire. Then imagine that someone started rubbing sand paper on that open wound. This is our reality, our everyday fight to survive and live another day! Life with this condition is a horror story and your decision to cut medication for people suffering from this illness is cruel and inhuman. Until cure is found any medication that help us to live another day with this horrific decease should be available!

So wrong to take away paying for our meds with people with chronic pain. In my case RSD/CPRS. I would never be able to pay for it. I’ve been in pain management 6 years. I abide by the rules of my contract! Please rethink your decision. People like me will commit suicide if they are unable to pay for meds. That help. We pay a fortune in medical bills as it is.

If there is an actual organic NEED for the drug, it should be covered.

Please stop this war on true pain pts. We don't deserve this . We are law abiding citizens and don't misuse our meds. This needs to stop. Let Drs do their jobs and treat patients.

All friends, please sign. The chronic pain sufferers are the ones paying for the druggies who abuse it. I've been on pain meds and a slew of other meds since 2003, I obviously haven't overdosed yet. Quit punishing the ones that need these meds to be able to function somewhat of a normal person each day.

I have RSD/CRPS and was on Cigna at one point but changed my insurance companies now I'm glad I did!!

I cannot tolerate many other medications or they contain corn as an inactive ingredient.
