Oppose Cigna’s Decision to Not Cover the Cost of OxyContin in 2018

There a rev so many people fighting everyday to work and live in extreme chronic pain. And yet your company is choosing not to support them? I believe that is shamefully heartbreaking. As someone who endured this condition and many others, I sincerely pray that you reconsider your decision in the hopes of saving lives and the quality of life for many people.

We shouldn't suffer because of drug addicts and your ignorance.

Your not covering OxyContin in 2018 for CRPS patients is cruel and inappropriate.

My friend suffers a codition and she needs this to relieve pain. Take it away from the people that abuse it not the ones that need it to function everyday.

I’ve lived with RSD/CRPS TYPE 1 since 2012 and it’s just got harder and harder I pray for a cure but most of all I pray for more healthcare providers to do there homework and at least try to treat us better instead of treating us like drug addicts. I hate that we have to even do this to be heard but I will forever support growth!

I HAVE RSD AND I NEED WHAT I TAKE FOR PAIN. IF YOU TAKE IT AWAY I WILL SUFFER SO MUCH. YOU JUST HAVE TO INCLUDE OXYCONTIN IN YOUR FORMULARY.

I have lived with crps since 2012 and for the past 3 years I have dealt with this pretty well on my own, I can't get any right doctor's that treat my illness remotely correct let alone prescribe the correct medications. Our crps pain is just as valid as any pain caused by cancer or other illnesses

This is a much needed medication for patients with chronic pain conditions such as RSD (CRPS).

So wrong, not to late to reverse decision.

Oxycontin works and cannot be abused like it used to be. can only take orally. Little evidence if any on oral abuse!

Oxycontin is only med that actually controls even partially my intractable Pain, the Xtampza ER is a joke for effectiveness. You should be beaten with a baseball bat for a few days to perhaps Clear your understanding better of what this change would accomplish.

I am not on Oxy Contin or Percocet or Morphine, but I am on Tramadol ! But what happens when that may no longer work? People with chronic pain are people too!! We deserve the best treatment too! Because of addicts we will have to suffer! This is wrong! My heart actually breaks for these people! But my heart breaks for people who would be denied the meds they need to make life"livable"!

I have CRPS. Some people have chronic horrible pain. We are not drug addicts. It's shameful that you let people with legitimate diagnoses suffer. There will be more suicides.

RSDSA is incredibly painfully and difficuto live with. People who suffer with it should have everything possible to deal with their pain.

STOP the discrimination of Chronic Pain Patient's who responsibly take their prescribed opioid medication for Quality of Life. CPP's are NOT abusers of our medications. Please Do not stop covering the Oxycontin medication for ALL Chronic Pain Patients. Cigna, we both know that for some Patients this is the ONLY medication that helps relieve their agonizing pain and allows them Quality of Life, as no medication is a "one size fits all". Do NOT give them a potential death sentence by taking this medication away from any CPP's. Thank you.

Another way for insurance companies to profit by not covering the needs of people in pain, we won't pay for it but you have to pay premiums.

I'm afraid that this will be a decision all insurance providers will make. My husband suffers from RSD. He relies on his medication to function each and every day. Please don't take that away from him. He suffers enough with his pain

Not everyone who has pain becomes mentally addicted to opioids. CRPS suffers should not be punished by the insurance for refusal to pay for opioid pain medication.

We need our meds. Please reverse this decision. You have no idea the impact this will cause.
