Many non-indeginous species are valuable nectar and pollen producers for endangered species such as bees, moths and butterflies. any mass destruction of them would be very damaging to the environment. Where trees are dangerous, they should be removed, but not otherwise.

BaDAG would be well advised to spend some of their funds by improving the buildings in the heart of Brora. It doesn't give a good impression to casual visitors who might be less inclined to explore the rest of this wonderful village.

Why are BaDAG proposing plans for work on the riverbanks? The banks belong to the estates and therefore public funding or lotto funding should not be used on private land. I bet the estates are loving this group of plonkers.

In what way is the riverbank overgrown? Can you name all of the indigenous and non-indigenous species present at Brora Riverside? Why is this idea taking a priority? Stop changing things that aren't broken and focus your attention on Richard's points or failing that, the demolition of the Braes Hotel.

Leave the trees! In the current economic climate there are more pressing needs to be fulfilled for the people of Brora, than the aestheic whims of a few.........
