I oppose the Aldi development land swap as it overburdens infrastructure, costs the county excessive monies and is out of character with the surrounding properties and village of Aldie.

For the Loudoun County BOS to hand 6.3 acres sitting on Route 50 to a developer that owns the landlocked parcel behind it, thereby granting access to John Mosby HWY, the gateway to the west, they currently do Not have, in my view, would be insanity!

The proposed Aldie development would destroy the historic village of Aldie. Additionally, as chairman of the Route 50 Task Force which implemented the traffic calming project, I can tell you that it would significantly destroy this award winning innovative transportation structure which effectively and safely moves traffic through the historic and scenic Route 50 area with a very limited footprint. Destructive projects such as this would eventually require a major flyover at Gilberts Corner and a 4 lane bypass of Aldie, Middleburg and Upperville as originally proposed . This is a very dangerous proposal which must be strongly opposed

I am absolutely opposed to this. Why is the County going above and beyond to overpay the developer -- a known advocate of actions against county and state guidelines and restrictions -- in order to destroy Aldie? This needs stopped immediately.

It is doubtful that Jack Andrews will not keep any promise or honor any contract relating to real estate.
