Wait a minute! A brewery plus another "retail village" plus 164 new parking spaces all pushed by an unethical developer? Whatever happened to the Board of Supervisors' commitment to historic Aldie as the gateway to rural Loudoun?

I was born and raised in the village of Aldie, and I live in the village now. I would gladly support the renovation and reopening of the Tavern by someone who wanted to join our community, but the scale of this project would totally dominate the place - not to mention it’s environmentally insupportable and appears to include weird back-room political sweetheart deals for the developer. Seems like the village of Aldie is being offered up in exchange for the village of St. Louis; this isn’t a business proposal. It’s a hostage negotiation.

This is absolutely appalling! What will happen to this land is vital to preserve the history and legacy of this community and to preserve for future generations! We must save this land from being developed!

I oppose the development as it will incur addition traffic; not home town development, in a beautiful rural area that should be kept that way. I fully oppose the development.

I oppose any land swaps or new development in historic Aldie. Development in the western Loudoun towns needs to stop. The Destruction of history, forest lands and natural beauty in Loudoun County is abhorrent.
