Oppose the DEA's Proposal on Reduced Opioid Production

I have RSD, which is so very painful and it's spread over most of my body. I can't imagine my life without the pain meds that I take. There's no cure for this disease and the pain is at times unimaginable, they call it the suicide disease So, with that being said, I will sign petition and fight to have pain meds.

17 years of Rsd/Crps this is no cure .

Reducing opiods for chronic pain patients will cause a suicide epidemic. WE ARE NOT ADDICTS!! Why dont you reclassify opiods, separate heroin and the like from prescriptions.

This is insane! I had all of my meds cut. Because of this I am unable to work and live on $800 a month. I have a nine year old. I went from being a single mother working hard to give my daughter what she needs to sleeping most if the time to escape the pain. I also have to worry about where we will live because I cannot afford anyplace. Last month in my apartment. Where do we go? In a long wait for any help. What the hell is going on?

Stop cronic pain, stop trying to hurt us, those that abuse this will always find a way to get it, don't hurt us in the process

I have some rare diseases that cause me constant pain. The pain doctor in my town refused me because he didn't know anything about my diseases. My PCP is helping a little. We are working together to help me have a little relief but protecting him from government shutdown, loss of his property, and legal charges. am an RN and understand that patients with pain will not heal quickly and has a huge risk for depression and suicide.

Since 2002 I have been dealing with chronic painful RSD. Been through many many ambulatory surgeries to no avail. To actually live normally this reduction will hinder my daily life, in which it isn't good in the first place but at least I can be on a pain scale of 5 instead of 20. And still try and live semi normal. We who have this diagnosis lives in severe pain everyday of our lives. We are not getting it from the streets we go to our physicians and do it the correct way. I had to give up my dreams of becoming a paramedic on the medivac because of this injury I wouldn't wish on anyone. In our lives we can not handle humidity cold warm swelling shooting pain from sunrise to sunset. Please do not do this. Do not reduce the production of the only hope we have to have a semi if any normal life. I do not wish this diagnosis on anyone it is a brutal diagnosis that is painful. God bless all who have this RSD/CRPS I pray that there will be a cure soon until then please pharmaceutical companies you have to realize we deserve to be less in pain.

These ridiculous guidelines and proposals are quite literally killing the chronic pain community.

Stop cutting people's meds! Living with CRPS is like being physically tortured 24/7/365, would you want to live like that? Don't believe me/us? I'd be happy to educate you all on what constant severe intractable pain feels like to live with. You are forcing people to live in a literal tortured state. I thought torture was ILLEGAL! Can you afford to be sued by ALL of our families when we die of pain or overdose on dirty unknown street drugs?

All that will do is make those of us who suffer severe chronic pain unable to get the Rx needed. I know this because I live in FL. It is almost impossible to get pain medication due to the limit of pills they are allotted a month. I have tried with out success. All this leads to is searching the streets or as you already know, leading to heroin.

The quality of life for those with uncontrollable pain should be given the same respect as anyone else who is suffering from a disease, some times controlling the pain is all that is left for us with invisible diseases. We should not be made to suffer because law enforcement, or legislative measures cannot control this kind of abuse either..to make every human being suffering made to feel that what is a medication to us is a drug of abuse.. almost any medication could fall under this description.

I have RSD and would be bed ridden and in non fathomable pain. At least with the help of some pain pills I can walk a little or maybe even go out to dinner.

Once again honest legitimate patients are hurt because of other people's poor and bad choices.

Plz don't paint us with the same brush! We need help to control our pain

I'm supporting this petition because I know for a fact that the CDC, Centers for disease control and prevention, has stated outright that there is no opioid 'epidemic'. The real epidemic is FDA approved biologics that they say are safe; but a year or so later, the SAME FDA pulls the drugs off the market due to the un-safety of it. I'm a chronic pain patient and I'm scripted opiates, and to reduce the amount of the opiates on the market is to do a grave disservice to mankind! Please leave medical issues in the hands of Dr's and scientists.

I suffer from many life long rare diseases and without these medications I can not be the wife and mother my family deserves, I can not be the person I want to be! These drugs help me with my daily life, without them I wouldn't be able to walk, I would have no quality of life, I'm only 36.. Taking away my medication would be the same as taking away life! I might be dependent on them but by no means am I addicted to them, there is a huge difference and unless you live your life in constant pain you can never truly understand! I beg of you to do the right thing and not let a portion of the population that abuse these medications to make people who truly need them suffer!

This is not right, people that really do suffer from pain should not have the medication cut. If druggies want to over dose that is their problem we should not have to suffer.
