People who suffer chronic pain disorders and documented this shouldn't be an issue for them to have their meds to obtain some type of functional life !

I have suffered from RSD/CRPS for 25 years and the pain can be unimaginable. My medications were stopped after 20 years on opioid pain medication. I was functioning, now I gave become house bound. This war on opioids is focused on the wrong group of people, pain patients. The real problem lies with illicit drug use of heroin/fentanyl/method/cocaine and so on. Please do not lower production!
