We need a better solution to the traffic problems and dangerous driving on Rte 15. I support traffic calming measures. The POR bridge is not getting any wider; 4 laning is a patch job that will cause more traffic and just move the chokepoint a little further down the road. We need a bypass someplace else or another bridge to MD. We need shoulders on Rte 15 for emergency vehicles, medians to prevent passing over the double yellow line, and more law enforcement.

As someone who lived in Lakeridge, VA, I can tell you from lived experience that widening the roads not only increased the amount of traffic and congestion we experienced, but it also caused an enormous amount of spillover traffic into quiet neighborhoods and historic Occoquan. Please implement traffic slowing measures such as roundabouts instead. Thank you.

It’s astounding to me that Loudoun continues to pursue “widening” as the answer to traffic, congestion, and safety issues with respect to 15N. Across the WORLD studies have shown that widening roads in rural and agricultural areas on the outskirts of cities does nothing but increase development of all types - houses/businesses/retail - that means within a short time the traffic/congestion/and safety issues have come right around again. NO to widening Rt.15N. Wider single lanes, traversable shoulders the length of the corridor, and roundabouts will manage congestion, access, and safety concerns without attracting further development.

Widening is NOT the answer! Worst Idea Ever! Wake Up!

Widening the road will just bring more traffic! Stop it now

4 lanes between Leesburg and Montressor. Merge into 2 lanes after that. CANNOT have 4 lanes through Lucketts, nor to a 2 lane bridge

We love the natural views and and quietness of Lucketts. The issue is speeding. Control the speeding you can control the traffic.

We do not need a four lane road north of Montressor road. We have a wonderful part of Loudoun county that would be severely impacted for the worst if a road were to be built.

I believe 4 lanes will quickly fill with traffic and will spur lots of development- it already has. I believe the rural nature of our area deserves to be preserved- for our environment, the residents of Lucketts, and visitors I do support safety improvements, especially traffic calming measures.

Four lanes will improve nothing until Point-of-Rocks bridge expansion is constructed first( or constructed concurrently). Enlarging Route 15 will benefit out-of-state commuters more than residents at a huge cost to the taxpayers and the landscape.

I oppose four lanes. I think the major issue is lack of “smart” growth in NOVA and Maryland. Stop building and slapping up houses everywhere without thinking about the amount of traffic that comes with that growth.

I am opposed to the 4-lanes being added to Rt 15. This is not the solution. Widening and paving the shoulders of the road and keeping the right of way clear would help but putting another bridge across the Potomac it the only way to relieve Rt 15 of a lot of the computer traffic. I do agree that getting out of here, incase of an emergency has and always be almost impossible. It has been that way for over my 65 years of living here and I don't think that widening the road to 4 lanes is going to help. Our community has changed so much. It was a farming area and home owners took pride in their property. They would keep the roads and I do mean all the roads of Lucketts free from bushes and trees. People that bought the properties, need to be proud of Lucketts and show it in keeping it clear and safe. If the people who live along Rt 15 would drive the speed limit it would slow it down the commuters and people just passing through. Everyone needs to do their part.

Also, think we could slow traffic substantially by adding a toll for all nonresident traffic.

It would ruin the small town feel of our community

I also oppose 4-lanes beyond Tutt Lane.

I would much rather see a new bridge connecting 28 than destruction of a scenic byway

Need to lower the speed limit and add traffic calming, not open it up to aggressive drivers passing at high speeds. Active monitoring is also needed to catch the ones who pass illegally and cause accidents.

Either put a toll at the Maryland line or put a bridge across 28!
