Petition to Oppose the Proposed Temporary Emergency Shelter at 210 Pacific Avenue

I do believe that the homeless need additional assistance. However, this is not the place for it as there are many adolescents and parents of young children that partake in orthodontics (a specialty office that holds a higher standard) , and 2 dance studios right across the street. There are many other locations that could house & assist the individuals in need, that are not in close proximity to children of all ages.

This shelter will negatively affect the surrounding businesses. The business directly next to the proposed site serves youth and adolescent children.

Resident in the lofts next door - strongly oppose to the Pacific Avenue location for the shelter.

I believe there are to many children in this area between uptown orthodontics, Rumley Perio, and second act that would make it unsafe for them.

Very concerned about my and my co workers saftey coming and going to work. Concerned about the safety of all our patients, children and the elderly. If this facility cannot be close to children than it does not qualify to be located here.
