Opposition to declaring Robben Island Marine Protected Area

All kinds of restrictions are always affecting the recreational fishermen. I therefore reject this unfounded proposal which has no rhyme or reason to close off the said fishing area.

I strogly reject this proposal as it has no logical exsplanation as to why its bein declared a marine reserve.

I do not agree with this proposal. There is no scientific justification for it. It will cost many jobs in addition to limiting recreational fishermen

Zuma talks about creating jobs, is this how the ANC goes about doing it ..... It is always talk and less than no action by taking away jobs from those in desperate need. Wake Up!

Can't manage,,,,,,just ban everything.

There is no logical sense to restrict fishing in this area. Especially as 99% of all fish caught in a 10km radius is pelagic fish being Snook and Yellowtail.

We all have a right to catch fish.

Ban trawling in the area, better policing is necessary not a total ban of everything. Think about your commercials and stop making there life harder than necessary

Rediculousness that the only way to manage the area is by closing it.

I think it is rediculous stopping snoek or yellowtail fishing around the island as they are not resident fish .
