I have shopped at Target regularly over the years & it would be a real shame for our town to lose it. Staff are great too!

I do not want this store to close. I can understand the slide in Sales over the past few years, as the store looked very drab and uninviting.

Target or Kmart fits with Colac’s demographic. The store is the heartbeat of our CBD. Please revisit the number crunching to see if it can remain open as the community wants. I’m sure Wesfarmers make enough profit from the other 3 businesses in town ie Bunnings, Coles and Coles express.
Give people the option of ordering stock from other stores for them if you can’t carry each line. Go back to great customer service like you used to have. Not everyone is able to go elsewhere to shop.

Target is all Colac has, it is literally the only shop to buy linen, basic household necessities and shoes/clothing for my children. So much of Colac has already closed and so many people already travel to Geelong to shop, this is just going to make it so much worse, won’t even be a shop in town to buy bath towels. Our community need Target or a K-Mart or we’ll literally have nothing

We live in Camperdown 3260. Colac is our nearest larger regional town. We go to Colac often for friends and shopping and movies. People from Camperdown will head to Warrnambool for their shopping needs. Closing Target is going to be catastrophic for the businesses of the town. I personally prefer target to kmart. All of my children’s clothes are brought at Target as their quality is superior to kmart. I have 5 children at home.

Colac and surrounds need Target or K-Mart hub to provide a mixed retail service for those who shop locally. For local businesses to survive, they need a major retailer as a centre point.
