Why is Wesfarmer closing one of their most profitable stores? It is not due to freight issues as trucks have to travel past to stock other stores.

The town will be lost without a local store I personally love Target for my bed linen and home appliances and decorating not to mention buying for my grandchildren

The Colac District needs Target or better still Kmart .. For many reason , Employment for the local people convenience for the local people.
Personal would love to see the old mitre 10 building made into a big Kmart store. We need to keep Business in our own town.

LOSS OF LOCAL EMPLOYMENT IS A REAL DOWNER FOR THE TOWN.
WHAT ABOUT A SMALL KMART?
THE TOWNSHIP OF COLAC & SURROUNDS WILL BE LOST WITHOUT A BIGGER DEPARTMENT STORE BEING OPEN.
TARGET PRODUCTS ARE LOVELY, BUT WITH KMART PRODUCTS BEING EVEN MORE FINACIALLY ACCESSABLE.
SEEMS LIKE THE OBVIOUS SOLUTION TO ME AND 100'S OF OTHERS.

Target has been a big part of the Colac community for some time and we are quite reliant on being able to purchase our clothes, household items and so on. Not having it leaves a big hole.

Target have a range of clothing designed for people with disabilities,
Colac would be the perfect place to trial this range.
Seems to me we are all missing out on a opportunity here , there are a lot of costumers here and a huge need for this range in this district.

My first paying job was actually at this Target store. I worked there for approximately 3 yrs and I still to this day attest it to have set a good solid foundation for my retail/customer service skills which are a part of any profession. My mother is in her 60s. I do not want to have to see her go out of town to shop and also do not want property values to drop due to lack of services in the town. There is a great deal of flow on affects at stake here. Additionally, I shop at the Target store when I am visiting family/friends and I live about an hour away, so it is not just people who live in the community that benefit from the store, wether that be a Target/kmart or otherwise
