The story ended on a definite cliffhanger- we still don’t know enough about Amiti! Either way, it’s such an intricate, clever, fun story, with such a unique atmosphere and gameplay, it would be devastating to have seen the last of it. Especially considering how the graphics can be developed with modern technology!

This series is one of my favorite of all time and I would love to see where it was gonna go

Golden Sun was the greatest series of all time out of every game I have ever played but the third title felt like it was aimed for younger audiences, the difficulty should have been there or at least the option. Maybe it was because we were playing with the main characters children, I am not positive. I know it isn’t because I got older because I can still play the original 2 games today and still find it difficult and challenging along with captivating story. The story and everything just changed it was still a good game it just wasn’t the magic of 1 and 2. You could honestly use the same graphics as 1 and 2 and the game would still have so much potential, the writing for 1-2 were phenomenal and I still tell everyone about the games at 30 years old. There is so much that could be done I wanted to write the third game’s story so bad because the cliff hanger at the end of lost age had so much potential to build off of. The wise one appearing could have became the bad guy, alchemy could have spread across the world making new villains, stronger monsters etc, a way to shift the stories perspective but keep the characters. I really think that’s why the third game didn’t do as well, difficulty the puzzles, the story that just seemed to change. It has the potential to go the distance and all the original fans are still very loyal. I will retry and buy any game in the series but I could not complete the third game that’s how different it felt. Don’t give up on the concept even the battle system was absolutely brilliant, I am still loyal!

This was such an amazing series. I would love to see it continue on the Switch.

Also, bring back Motoi Sakuraba. That man makes musical gold.

Is the best RPG game!!

I have been waiting for the third installment for so long. The Golden Sun franchise is one of my favorite and the day new Golden Sun arises, it would be my best day.

Enjoyed every game from GS1 to GSDD.

Golden Sun is still my favorite JRPG series to this day. I would weep tears of joy if a sequel were to be developed and released
