coming from someone who only recently got into the CS scene (within the past year or two) I would love to be able to play on the old maps I didn't get the chance to experience.

I never played 1.6, but it seems like less work for valve than coming up with all new ideas.

This is an amazing idea. Not only will it increase older players interest in the game, but the newer players will definitely enjoy the classics.
