The pep fest is officially back on the first day of school. It has been a long and draining fight but our persistence finally paid off. Stay sharp as we start the year because we need to make sure this remains the standard moving forward.

Mr. Groebner is willing to collect more signatures to gauge the students' views toward the decision to move the pep fest to the end of the week. Signing this indicates that you're a Jefferson student wanting the pep fest returned to the first day of school and that you haven't already signed one of the paper copies that have been circulating the past couple of weeks.

I have been hearing from plenty of you about how dull the start of the year feels without the tradition. It is exhausting to keep explaining why the timing matters, but I am still pushing this forward with the administration.

Jefferson has struggled to have school spirit over the years. We are just starting to gain that school spirit back, so why take it away again? The opening day pepfest was never intended to create fear in the freshman, it's to get them excited about going to Jefferson. Without that first day pepfest, the start of their careers at Jefferson may just be lackluster. For years the pepfest has been held on the first day, becoming one of the only traditions we have at our school. Please don't change the one thing we have all looked forward to our entire high school career here at Jefferson!
The pepfest is something that starts the school year off on an exciting note! Since freshmen year we've all looked forward to chanting seniors seniors as a class that starting our last year together. Let's keep the tradition & the school spirit going!!
Having the pep fest on the first day of school is tradition and it shows the under class men, that we go to a great school with great school pride.
When I was a freshman I don't remember at all feeling intimidated by the first day pep fest, I don't understand why we have to break tradition just out of the fear of doing so.
Pep fest needs to be the first day!!! It's only fair since every other class got to experience how awesome it is.
Why wouldn't we have the OPENING protest on the FIRST day of school?

I think we should have the pep fest the first day of school because it gets people motivated to come to school on the first day and I believe it's a tradition that should be held for many years to come.
