The government hasn't provided the churches with scientific data from a study on churches to justify why the churches were closed in the first place except a generalization on churches being superspreaders based on assumptions on the Bloemfontein incident that happened prior to the first lockdown. It has proven that funerals are superspreaders yet kept conducted since the first lockdown. Malls are not as compliant as the churches, yet kept open. So churches must be kept open because they are better compliant and easier to apply controls than most sectors including hospitals
