- The Church is Under Attack!
We as the Church of Jesus Christ are under attack in South Africa. We have been compliant with lockdown regulations for almost a year now and we say NO MORE! The Church cannot be silenced in a time of need. The church must be considered ESSENTIAL in this global pandemic.
What we are asking for is:
- Safe reopening of our buildings.
- 50% minimum of our venue capacity.
We are asking pastors and leaders all over South Africa to join our online protest against lockdown regulations specifically aimed at the Church.

There needs to be consistent treatment for all. The same way schools can accommodate the same the army, the police and other institutions operate so can the church operate adhering to the regulation of the day. Don’t limit the work of God on His earth.
We need Churches to open,we have people falling into deep depression,our youth conforming to this world,crime rates going up..... personally for me it hurts when you see people falling away from Churches,away from God's word. #OPENCHURCHES #CRC KATHU
Please open our churches. They are important to us & very necessary for peoples wellbeing spiritually physically & mentally. They reach out to the lost & hopeless people. Casino’s & shopping malls have opened safely & the church is even safer
The church is where my life turned around. I can say without out a doubt that it It was not for the church I would not be here today. Suicide, depression or alcohol would have killed me. The church is more than a building. Please understand that.
I'm a social worker and know the value the church plays in supporting those faced with social issues. Churches offer counseling and many other forms of support to people that professions may not all get to. They are a vital part of a health society.

The churches are the safest places to be as they provide emotional stability which is paramount to one’s health and they comply with the requirements that protocol legislation stipulates. They should therefore be considered as Essential service providers.
