We would like to see Lake Manassas open to the public for limited recreational use.

Why deprive a whole community and a generation of young folks from Lake Manassas. It is a treasure right under our noses and we can't even see it. How could it be only residents around the lake get to use it. Our family enjoyed so much Burke Lake when we lived in that area. Let Lake Manassas be open to the people in the county like Burke Lake is to the people in Fairfax County.

I support the opening of Lake Manassas for fishing and non motorized boating. Electric motors being permitted and size limitations on boats.

I am 100% in favor of opening Lake Manassas for recreational purposes.

Such a beautiful asset to a community should be utilyzed by the community. I'm sure a committee could be put together to come up with rules and funds to enforce the rules.......open it up!

The lake is a treasure in our community, and should not be reserved to a select few. I am interested in walks along the shores, and birding.

As a birder and resident of nearby Haymarket I am frustrated that there is no access for birders to the lake. I use a spotting scope to view the lake from the one public point on Glenkirk Road where I can legally park (near the dam). Wildlife viewing is a popular and nondestructive activity that should be permitted.

I would like to be able to go birding at lake Manassas. I believe it is unfair that a few people in gated communities are the only ones with access to the lake. The county could create a park with lakeshore access and hiking trails that would benefit many residents of Prince William county. We need more parks for observing nature in this part of the county. I usually drive to Leesylvaia state park and Occoquan bay national wildlife refuge.

Seems like a waste of a very valuable and beautiful PWC asset.

Terrorist threats are minimal and lake should be available for use for PWC residents. There has been no explanation for closing the lake and a study would at least shed light on any danger either real or imaginary.

I would love to be able to go to my parents house and go kayaking with them!
