I agree, some children would be more likely to do better attending actual school and activities. We are All taking the necessary precautions and believe that our children would be able to take the necessary precautions as well.

My son is falling behind so much and not getting much out of this school year at all. I know that the teachers are trying really hard but the kids focus so much on whether or not the computer is working and not on the actual curriculum. Please send them back to school.

My daughter suffers with depression and anxiety...its now 100 times worse. She is going into panic attacks with not being in school. We have lots of missing assignments and spending too much time trying to play catch up. My step son is typically an A-B student....but now failing 3 classes. This is not working. Our kids are not getting a real education. They need to be in a classroom. Teachers are there for a reason....parents are not teachers!!

I am blaming the Elearning on my son struggling academically. This is so ridiculous. Only school around us that is strictly Elearning. Open the school up. I will NOT allow my son to be held back a year because of this craziness!

I have 5 children, 4 of whom are e-learning. 2 of the 4 are struggling emensly. My once A student in accelerated classes had to be removed from accelerated math and is now struggling to even pass a few classes. At this point keeps asking to just be removed from
School and will repeat the grade next year. This is affecting the emotional well being of my children and school needs to resume immediately, not second semester. My husband is a physician, we are aware of any “risks”. We believe the mental health of all of our children in the community is at higher risk. Please put these children back in school.

Many other schools are in school teaching. Canton students need to be in class. Covid , like many other contagious illnesses, will be around for years to come. Our children deserve and need an education from trained professionals!

If every other school around us can figure out how to return to classes without having a spike in cases, we should be able to do the same. My daughter is a senior and is missing everything she was looking forward to. She also has struggled with elearning. I have a foster teen in my home currently and we are still waiting to hear from the junior high to get her started in school. She will definitely struggle with elearning.

e learning is not working in our house. Our son needs in person instruction and socialization. He is not getting enough out of this platform as he should be. Its time to bring them back to school. Do your job and do whats best for the kids.

My kids are not handling this very well. Several melt down, tears and even a couple full fledged anxiety attacks.

My daughter is struggling with remote learning. She is not getting the full education she deserves. I can tell that she is not learning as well as she does in school, being at home. There is so many distractions when children are at home in their “safe place” School helped her focus by being in a classroom and being taught directly! Her teacher is absolutely amazing and goes above and beyond but there is also only so much any teacher can do remotely! My child needs the education she deserves!

Kudos to whoever wrote this! Very educated and resourced argument. It’s perfect in every way. Thank you for making this petition. Our school board needs new faces who think like the same person who wrote this petition.

Larger schools can make it work so no reason our school can’t try. Why can’t we collaborate and get ideas to make it possible for our kids. Kids deserve an actual education.

My children are done with class in half the time they should be! ( love the teachers, not their fault). They then watch tv all day. My once active child now wants to quit all extra activities. It is heartbreaking.
