Fontley and Funtley are now nearly all Equine or Equine related businesses, nearly every acre of field has horses on it therefore councils should create safe infrastructure for horses and riders not close off one off the only open Riding areas!!!

Sat navs have caused a huge increase in traffic on our lanes, drivers who would usually stay on the main roads, now know how to short cut the jams, but still insist on driving at motorway speeds. Surely the FBC countryside rangers should be looking to help riders not make them and their horses lives more miserable, by shutting off yet another bridleway.

Please reopen funtly meadows ASAP! As a rider myself of 2 hordes I often get abuse from car drivers to get off the roads! as we don't pay road tax...neither do cyclists but that's another issue....so please don't close bridleways they are used regular you may not see them being used but we ride all times of the day in the week and weekends...support us please and help by keeping routes open keeping us safe off as many roads as possible. ...Thank you.

There are hardly any safe places to ride our horses these days. Please reopen access.

with roads becoming more conjested and drivers less tollterant to other road users such as horse riders and cyclists, it is so important to keep access available to off road routes.

There are so few places to ride our horses " off Road " please reconsider & re-open Funtley meadows so we can all continue to have a safe place to ride our horses away from the busy roads.

i think with the proposals of Graham Moyse for nearby mayles lane and top of knowle village to build more houses, that to re open this as a bridleway again would make sense. The roads are so busy and it would be great for all road users to try and keep horse off them as much as possible for safety sake. Our little lanes are being used as a rat run/race track by car drivers and hgv lorries alike. If mr moyse's plans are accepted to give land on mayles lane to parish and put in footpaths and hopefully bridleways to join the railway line then open these to horse too will br great for all concerned. Please help keep us riders safe and let us ride off these busy lanes.

to close this puts people's and horses in danger ! The risk then is for riders to hack on our ever busy roads ... The popularity of Rideing is growing. Young children on the roads with horses is always a worry and this puts pressure on parents to take risks to let children out on the roads !
