I have spent the last few days walking these paths on foot and realizing just how much we are losing by staying off our horses. Hearing your stories about how many years you have spent riding here confirms that Council needs to listen. I am currently putting together a formal packet of these experiences to deliver to the rangers.

Seeing this kind of momentum reminds me of all the mornings my horse and I spent on those trails before the gates were locked. It is deeply moving to witness so many people fight for a place that means so much to my family and our community.

Funtley meadows gives local horse riders a much needed space to enjoy their horse freely without fear. My daughter Is able to have the freedom of riding her pony without worry of traffic , not something equestrians get anymore.
Fontley and Funtley are now nearly all Equine or Equine related businesses, nearly every acre of field has horses on it therefore councils should create safe infrastructure for horses and riders not close off one off the only open Riding areas!!!
to close this puts people's and horses in danger ! The risk then is for riders to hack on our ever busy roads ... The popularity of Rideing is growing. Young children on the roads with horses is always a worry and this puts pressure on parents to take risks to let children out on the roads !
Please reopen Funtley Meadows, roads are getting more and more dangerous and there are so few places to go. Horses need to hack as part of their weekly routine, it's not fair to school all the time. Please help us to enjoy Funtley Meadows as we have for over 30 years. Thank you
The local roads are rat runs with speeding drivers bike riders and motorbikes on the old railway line we have lost one of the few safe places to ride

Funtley meadows has provided a safe and secure place to exercise our horses for years. Enjoying what little country side we have left is getting increasingly harder. Local roads are so busy with increasing numbers of houses being built in the area. This piece of land was enjoyed responsibly by so many local riders.
