Ive noticed a lot more traffic by the school and the parking lots, its a little annoying to the fact i walk in and out of those lots, and its an inconvenience to other students as well. I didnt understand why they needed this new policy anyways- why fix something that isnt broken?

first of all, your argument is awful. you are not the victim in this case and shall recieve no pity from us. second, you KNEW when you purchased your home that it was in close proximity to a high school, obviously people are going to park on your street. third, by saying it gives you pleasure to watch us suffer, which is exhibitting sadistic behavior, you may want to see a psychiatrist.

It's definitely important to acknowledge that there is a problem the surrounding community has with Leigh students driving to school. Students should not be speeding, blocking driveways, or anything else that violates state driving laws. It's in the hands of the Leigh administration to address this problem, and I wholeheartedly believe these new rules were honestly intended to do so. However, after a week of implementing the new rules, it's become apparent that they aren't a viable solution for the problems at hand, and that they create some new issues as well. The administration should not be ashamed that these rules didn't work, and they should repeal them and focus on a different approach to the issues.
While I haven't felt the traffic effects of this because I get to school absurdly early out of habit, I understand the frustration students are voicing.

In all the years at Leigh between both kids. Traffic is at its worse with the changes.

I was late to class so many times during my senior year because of the backed up traffic due to the closed gate. It needs to be opened.

I think that you should move if you hate high schoolers. Weren't you in high school at one point? Why hate the future of our country? You must be sadistic and twisted if it brings you pleasure to watch people getting stuck in unnecessary traffic and causing other people to be late for work. It is not an insignificant problem as it causes many people to be late. You disgust me.

I think this parking situation is absolutely fantastic. Living near Leigh for as long as I have I have really learned to hate these students. It brings me pleasure to watch them suffer with their insignificant parking problem. This petition is a sad attempt of trying to reverse the school board's fine decision. Please refrain from signing.

The closed gates have caused me to be over 5 minutes late when I am almost always on time.

Roads are constantly getting worked on and millions of people are trying to get were they need to go. People are trying to use the cross walk to get to school, and everyone is trying to get there on time. Closing the gates makes the streets more backed up and harder for everyone to get where they need to go. Also people are so focused on getting in the parking lot now then ever because of the fewer entrances they ignore other driver, which maybe lead to car accidents and others having trouble to cross the street, out of fear of people lack of attention. This is causing everyone to be late.
