Other rinks are open.i get the reason why. But during Shinny theirs no human contact. Everyone is at a distance. Except the sign up at the Cataraqui rink. It’s all in the main enter doors. Everyone is piled in. The invista rink is the best for the distance situation. Please open up ??

Keeping the arena’s closed is simply unacceptable. Kingston has been one of the best areas keeping covid-19 in check, even with the unfortunate nail salon outbreak. Allowing Golf courses and indoor restaurants to reopen but not the arena’s is a complete joke. There are restrictions available to use, so open them already!

I believe that hockey should be available for bookings and not hosting seasons or tournaments for now. Let’s let people gather together again on the ice following procedures safety like they do everywhere else. Mask on until heading out on the ice and leaving

So I'll distanci g is easily possible in the stands. Nobody watches from the lobby. Hand sanitizers at the door. Masks on inside the building. Signage to maintain a 2m distance from others, players arrive fully dressed and just put sktes on and leave fully dressed.

Public Health includes mental health. Kingston citizens have done amazing with the outbreak; time to reward them with a positive outlet for physical activity. Canada needs hockey, so does K-town. Get on it!

Hello to Mayor Paterson and fellow council. My name is Scott Trueman I have been involved in minor hockey for 16 years now on the administration side alone.Like your self we the Kingston seem to be a smart intelligent group here living in this city.We all have proven that through this COVID virus status we all have been involved in sense March .There is no person who wants our young sports people to get sick especially doing something they love. All of your Kingston ice users have been in many discussions with all the Kingston organization and rink management staff on how we are going to manage the return of ice sports back to this great city .We are doing our part and we will continue to do so through communication and education for our return of sports back to our youth. But now we need our council to do their part we need to start preparing for our rink to reopen for September 1st.kingston ice users will have their Saftey plans in place and the procedure with it .It is time to focus on getting the kids going again .

Why won’t the City allow anyone to build a independent owned rinks in Kingston. The city has a monopoly.
