Before the Curley closed for renovations "the plovers" still nested on the beach bordered on men and women's side only. They co-existed with members watching out for them. I understand a section to be sectioned off but NOT the whole beach. Quincy does it. The facility is now a big sterile warehouse sectioned off with very little beach view in the rooms .They have windows placed on top so you can't see the water. Of course there are more than enough windows facing the traffic on the street. What is wrong with this picture? It is sad there's no longer any trace of the South Boston history anymore. Not even a little section of the beach for women and men and family members only who would prefer it for the added peace for the summer. All that I loved about the building my entire life living in SB is gone . We get rewarded by paying more for a very sterile warehouse now .Change is good added service a clean ,safe environment is great but could it only be done in this sterile manner?

We need this beach open for the families .How do I tell my 2 year old she can play in the playground but she can’t swim in the ocean .Please be responsible and show us you actually know how to run a city .lots of unqualified people getting jobs today don’t be a statistic.
