Dear, Queensview Shareholders & Parents,
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the playground, in good conscience was closed until further notice. Fast forward to current day and it remains closed, although city parks and other private playgrounds have opened without issue. We have also opened the grounds and most recently the basketball court, which has also proved that we can have our children, parents, and guests organize safely together. Still, the basketball court is not an adequate and safe playing area for our children. There are large cracks causing children to fall on hard concrete and bicycles / scooters crashing into each other and into children. We have a designated area, with slides, swings and places to climb, suitable for the needs of our children.
Please, join me, in requesting that our Board re-open the playground. By signing this petition you are delivering a clear message that ignoring the reopening of the playground will no longer be tolerated. It is time that we give our children of Queensview an adequate and safe area of play.

The board has been silent regarding my requests for a formal meeting about the playground status. It is exhausting to keep pushing when they refuse to engage but I am not walking away from this.

Seeing this much momentum confirms that I am not the only one exhausted by the silence from the board. It is a heavy road to walk but this shift in energy reminds me why we started this fight in the first place.

This would be great, as we are members of the nursery school and would love to utilize the playground before or after school.
There are no proposed rules in this petition. Is it a realistic expectation that our security could handle this? Are they to constantly monitor the playground or would we be dependent on others to inform them of an issue? How are residents identified? If someone refuses to comply, are we willing to increase the exposure and risk of security getting COVID? How will that affect QV staff as a whole?
Proposal makes sense. Admission of only Queensview only will necessitate guard participation. The small children playground, with its equiptment, will attract far more than the bare pavement of big kids playground. I don't think coop parents are equipted to enforce proposed rule.
My main concern is policing and making sure the equipment is cleaned on a regular basis. I believe only cooperators and their guests should be allowed on the playground until this pandemic is resolved.
Playgrounds in the city have been open for months without incident. I hope you will consider reopening the Queensview playground as it is a vital part of our children's community, mental health, and physical health. Thank you

It’s almost winter. This should have been done months ago. The pandemic phase of this craze was over in June.
