People like Ian Freeman and Chris Cantwell have been banned from PorcFest for having dissenting views. Dissenting views should be heard, not silenced. It is only when you listen to dissenting voices that you have a chance to address their errors, or recognize your own. For this reason, we, the undersigned ask that PorcFest be opened to dissenting voices, and that it not be made into an echo chamber where only those who are Politically Correct can be.
I hope that the Porcfest organizers seriously consider allowing people they disagree with to attend Porcfest. The decision to ban Ian has made many people very weary of the organizers and the FSP. Who will they ban next and for what reason? Will the reason be something as trivial and vague as a difference of opinion? I certainly wouldn't want to stick around and find out. I will continue to boycott this event until they cease banning people for dissenting views.
