We understand that there is space constraint in EEE and hence the decision to not allocate office space for new research students and students are encouraged to use the common computers. We embrace the idea of a open office but it would be ideal if we can have a version of the "iHUB" cross with "garage@EEE" cross with "Student activity centre" solely for research students. In fact, as many of us work on our own laptops, not many computers are needed. We just need a conducive environment to work in. It wouldn't cost much money nor space to the school and it encourages interaction between students of different fields(isn't that great?). Open Tables, Chairs, Power points, a small printing area, a small meeting area and bright lights. There we have it.. google style office... Where creativity flows and productivity flourishes.

How big? how about just the common area of the media resource lab or the communications lab 1?
