Open Mounger Pool in Magnolia, Seattle sooner than scheduled!

We would really appreciate an outdoor, safer option during Covid to swim with our unvaccinated toddlers during the summer when the weather allows!

This is one of the few outdoor pools in Seattle which makes it safer for my 4 yr old and infant to swim as they are too young to be vaccinated against Covid. By not having this pool open as long as possible my kids are unable to swim because I won't take them in an indoor location due to Covid. Please prioritize opening this pool and keeping it open as long as possible!!! I live in Ballard and we drive to this pool because it is outdoors.

Mounger pool time is the highlight of our year!

Please open the pool on time for our kiddos! I am happy to volunteer or help recruit lifeguards if staffing is the issue. Please contact me if so. I am a decent swimmer but a much better recruiter. :)

The Magnolia pool has always opened in May and it helps children have an opportunity to learn to swim. This is a travesty to our community that the pool is opening yet again a month delayed. Please reconsider and open on time!

Please consider opening the Mounger pool prior to the scheduled June date. With many of us making it through the craziness of Covid over the past 2+ years, there is more need than ever for the sake of our mental, physical and social health. If it is a staffing issue, maybe we could get some volunteers helping out. I believe there are several of us who would be more than willing to help somehow until the staffing issues are resolved. Let us know what is needed for help.

This pool is desperately needed by the community!

Please consider lengthening the outdoor pool season as SO many people, our precious seniors in particular, reap so many benefits both physically and mentally through this form of group exercise and the outdoor component adds something UNPARALLELED! :) Access to the pool is such an important gift to the community!

We pay an off a lot in taxes and it’s just not right to not have our pool open as scheduled. Please also remember the early morning swim. It’s been almost 2 years and I think the residence of magnolia which is the second largest neighborhood in Seattle deserve to have their pool open.

This is a huge part of the community. It’s so sad to the kids and people who utilize it when it’s open to stall one month before opening it. Do better Seattle!
