Me an my wife live in accordance to church teaching. Contraceptives are immoral and unnatural. Our mother, the Church, cares about the dignity of the human person as a whole and the sexuality of an individual is part of the person. Keep it that way.

Church teaching should never be swayed by the culture of the day. A watered down Catholicism is not true Catholicism.

I would be deeply troubled if there was any consideration to change the Church's teachings on family planning. I am a convert, and this teaching is the one area where the Church gained on credibility thanks to its unwavering dedication to the truth despite the changing tides of the culture around her. Witnessing to the beauty of authentic marriage and the Church's unique understanding of the adequate anthropology of the human person must never be compromised.

In my lifetime, I have heard a priest speak from the pulpit on this topic TWICE. The disasterous consequences of the contraceptive mentality affect all aspects of our society and nation. Our Catholic schools and parishes are closing, marriages are way down, shacking up is now the norm, divorce is very high, children of divorce are hurt, our schools are places of violence, etc. It is time for our priests to speak from the pulpit about this! Many diocese already have NFP teachers but we lack couples to teach!

Contraception is based on the love of money and lust; it kills life through self-centeredness. NFP is the sacrificial stewardship of praying and discerning in marriage, the Great Gift of Life in God's Timing. Promote NFP!
