Open letter to ChildLine: Stop normalising the use of pornography to children

Let children be children during their childhood.

Their minds are so open their brains have fallen out.

This is absolutely outrageous

Porn is extremely damaging to children. It affects their relationships and should not be where they get their sexual education from. Not to mention damaging for their self esteem and relationship with their own bodies.

Can't believe Childline had this stupid and nieve.

Shame on ChildLine and NSPCC for promoting/normalising porn.

Why do you you need this pointing out to you??? Who on earth is in charge of your child safeguarding policy???

This generation is facing huge difficulties, online porn can only make this worse

You can't be serious! Fun to watch and participate in? For WHOM? Entertainment? for WHOM? Porn is not made for sex, it's made for money. It has nothing to do with sex. It has only to do with abuse and degradation of women. In the name of decency and girls and women, stop this hideous nonsense.

We should be doing our best to promote healthy relationships between young people and not promoting porn. Childline and the NSPCC should be looking out for our children not exposing them to porn Who is looking out for our children?

I am appalled but not surprised. Both Childline and NSPCC have lost touch with their actual purpose.

There is far too much porn easily available to children on the internet without Childline promoting it and offering further key search words. Educate children about the harm porn does to their emotional development instead so they become more resilient in choosing to avoid it.

I accidentally went to whitehouse.com and doghouse.com in 1998 and I'm sure many more that seemed deliberately named for children to stumble upon them. same story for my whole graduating class. Let's end the stolen innocence YESTERDAY.

This is shocking that child line is promoting this video. This video is actually promoting porn! I cannot see anything good in watching porn.

This video is horrifyingly irresponsible. Encouraging children to watch porn is not normal and will only promote far too early and unhealthy sexual activity. They are CHILDREN.

We can accept that porn is a sad fact of life without normalising it. We should be working to undo the harm of it not acting like it's cool
