One would think that doctors realize that teens experiment with different identities and a depressed teen might be vulnerable to thinking that they are transgender when they really aren't. But no. If the teen says it, it must be so. That's the doc's approach - affirm and destroy the person the teen hates - themselves.

I am a real person but prefer to sign this anonymously. My daughter received a prescription for testosterone thru an informed consent clinic at age 18. She decided very impulsively to do this after a mental health breakdown, hoping she would "fit in" with men and "pass" quickly. She received no diagnostics and no counseling first. This is medical negligence by the clinic, a clinic that only opened in 2013 but now has young adults...newly independent....going there for easy access to cross-sex hormones, youth who have been easily swayed by what they are finding online. The safeguarding needs to be reinstated.
