The church needs to hold its leaders accountable and protect their interiors of the church and safety of its followers. This is a purposeful allowance for it to continue. They are essentially saying it’s ok to abuse members.

I was a student at LIFE Pacific College before Mr Larkin transitioned with IGNITE to VA. The leadership at LIFE knew about the abuse and did nothing. Glad people are finally speaking out.

As the GRACE report says "moving forward, Foursquare would benefit from assessing their organizational structure as it
relates to leadership accountability. When an entity or organization fails to hold offenders accountable
for wrongdoing, it becomes complicit in continued misconduct. God’s people are called to be a people who
love truth and grieve injustice. Doing otherwise creates a dangerous environment that welcomes and
protects offenders, silences the vulnerable, and becomes a very unsafe place for all." I believe we, Foursquare leadership and ministers, can and have a responsibility to do better.

Accountability is a core value in discipleship. Things that are allowed to remain secret do not help the message of Christ, but rather hinder His work in us and through us. Our leaders as the example for our denomination and communities need to be held to the highest standards.

Why are there not more signatures on this? Why not follow up whatever took place at convention with some formal communication and solid milestones on what was agreed upon? It's true, I'm only hearing about what took place through the "family" grapevine. It's a bit disconcerting given that the traditional convention annual shared experience story-line that takes place a day or two before the finalé is one I've become all too familliar with over the past couple of decades; where someone opens up a door for us all agreeing on the importance of repentance and a time of crying or laying down in front of the stage together takes place. Glenn asking for forgiveness is a step in the right direction but as he's retired already it's all a bit to easy to let him step in as the sole fall-guy.
I'm too burnt to trust this denomination again but really do want to give them a chance. After all #wearefoursquare.

As a Foursquare minister, I am waiting to hear something from our denomination on this. For those of us who could not attend Connection in Orlando, we only got bits an puzzle pieces from our friends who did attend. NOTHING in communication has gone out. ONCE again, Foursquare misses opportunities to communicate for change and unity.

I am disappointed to say the least, by how the denomination has handled this. By signing as an educator of future Foursquare leaders, I want the denomination to practice biblical models of repentance that include confession, turning away from old behaviors, examining and confronting systems that enable those behaviors and corruptions, and committing to humility and love for the body of Christ. We must confront this so that the whole body can heal and become better representatives of His kingdom.

Truly disheartening. I love the Foursquare denomination, but corruption and abuse of power, especially by pastors, must be uprooted immediately.
