The repeated delays to the program have made planning my future impossible. Getting information from the trust HR about what will happen to salaries and timelines has been needlessly difficult. When will the trust be open and honest with its employees?

Because of the trust delaying my student Paramedic programme, my future plans to move to America for 2 years have been ruined as I will be too old to apply for the relevant visa when I finish the Paramedic course.
You have literally ruined my future plans that I have held for years. Thank you.

I love my job and enjoy treating all patients however, i have no trust in my employer and feel that we get 'used and abused' at times.

Working with openness, honesty and integrity, promises we make to our patients but apparently not to our staff. Hearing the grievance of one group and not the other is unfair. Paying one group of newly qualified paramedics band 6 and not another is unfair. Rewarding those who breached the terms of their contract by leaving the pathway and working as a now senior EMT. Is unfair. Rewarding those who failed the SAP pathway with senior EMT and therefore a higher rate of pay than those who persevered and passed. Is unfair!
Treat us fairly!

This needs to be sorted out and addressed as soon as possible. Not an easy career to be in but a very much needed service that we rely on so heavily. Let's give them the correct pay for their hard dedicated service NOW, not when it is too late and we lose trained, hard-working dedicated staff!!!!

These folks are our future , very short sighted to treat them like this - could have a major staff shortage one day & then you'll be asking "what did we do wrong ?!!"

Disgraceful. How will the ordinary person in the street, let alone the CQC, the CCGs, Health Education England, our MPs or the media judge this latest perfidy? Who are the individuals within this Organisation that think this sort of behaviour is acceptable?

Been treated unfairly ever since we started. Worked so hard this year only to be treated unfairly and disgustingly by the trust. This isnt the first time we have been lied to since we started. And how can you can pay some new paramedics straight away at band 6 and treat us like this. Double standards is the phrase !!

I really want to know the full terms and conditions of my paramedic contract prior to signing it, and despite all my hard work over the last three years am more than prepared to delay my registration until clarity and fairness is achieved.

Please don't be surprised when we lose many students after their contractual period and we are once again struggling to cover basic Rotas. Please treat us fairly.

As one of the Student Paramedics affected I feel the Trust have at every opportunity attempted to exploit and disrespect us; delaying our course with untimely/ absent explanations, having us fight for our course fees to be rebated (after it became apparent that Health Education England had financed the course), allowing those who left the pathway to be financially better off than those who were successful and now a considerable change to the expected plan of becoming Band 6 one year post registration, a reality that many colleagues and indeed a selection of newly qualified paramedics from another pathway have enjoyed.
The actions of the Trust during our employment has led to discontent. It is of no wonder that experienced paramedics are leaving in their droves if this is how hardworking employees are treated.
Treat us with the respect we deserve

Give us pay parity with those saps who chose to leave or failed on the sap pathway who now remain as emt's, eligible for band 5 one year after they became emt's. Rewarding failure is disgraceful treatment and a kick in the teeth for all those who persevered with the delayed course.
