School board needs change. Making decisions behind closed doors is not helping the children.

Zimmer needs to go and we spoke when we voted. Your job is supposed to be on behalf of the families in your district and you're not doing your job.

This was a political action that is not in the best interest of the city's students. The board should be ashamed .

Awful decision that does not represent the will of the voters!

I am not objecting to Michelle King as having done a commendable job in a difficult position, however I vehemently object to an old board prematurely extending a contract that was not their decision to make!

If Republicans did this, we Democrats and are party leaders would be howling for impeachment. The silence is deafening.

You should have more self respect than this, Zimmer. Such a slimey thing to do.

This is not okay. It's an attempt of the loosing candidate to make one more power play. He should have enough ego strength to just leave and let the people's voices and need for change be heard. Stop holding into the past and what wasn't working!

This is exactly the reason I voted to replace the incumbent board member, back room political deals addressing the needs of employees, not students and parents. Whether I not or I agree that Michelle King deserves a contact extension, I completely oppose this underhanded lame duck politicking.

More shenanigans by Board President Zimmer. This is why we voted him out!

The new board should be making this decision. I personal like Michelle King but do not agree that the outgoing board should approve such a long contract extension

At a minimum, these sneaky dealings cast a long shadow over any good work Superintendent King does going forward.
