Please let our children return back to school. They need the education, socialization and stability!!!

Kids need to be in school and teachers need to do their jobs. It's that simple. Otherwise, what am I paying taxes for?

Let us sign a liability waiver or something- but let us have the freedom to send our kids back. Especially for young elementary age kids!

Kids need school, why can malls be open and restaurants but the future of our world can't go to school?! Not all kids have the resources to do school at home like internet or parents to stay with them.

This virus has gone on long enough. Kids will not have an immune system if you leave them home. Let them go back, or refund our insane taxes.

At least find a way to help the high risk kids, the ones with learning issues, and mental health. They will suffer the most.

I have never been so appalled and disgusted at a professional organization than the LSR7 School district. For months, I have screenshot and witnessed multiple accounts of teachers who I highly respected blasting their opinions that they are not daycare providers, babysitters, essential work force, underpaid, that it is not their job to feed all the socioeconomic challenged children in our district, buy school supplies for the same at-risk children, be mental advisors and therapists, or mandated child abuse reporters/advocates! Shame on every employee in this district and throughout America for your disgusting behavior. Children do not ask to be born into toxic, domestic violence, drug, struggling homes. Children are the victims of a continued vicious repeating cycle in history. It is not a child’s fault if their parent cannot adequately provide food and clothing for them. School is often the only safe, positive and encouraging environment for these at-risk children. Yes, your educational staff is not their care taker however you all went into an industry that serves the public. You are all public service providers. Furthermore, you work with a population that is children, knowing the inherent risks that not all are wealthy and providing equally. No one has asked you to be a care taker or babysitter. However your job as an educator is to provide academia for the population you serve and hold a license. Children’s job is to obtain an education. Children are expected to be in school during the day hence the laws that are established in our country. Children are in school the majority of the day. Most families work to be able To provide the items you have complained about that it is not your job to supply. Every year I see teachers have no problem asking for wish lists for supplies at the beginning and during the school year from the same families that they are now complaining about that are wanting schools To be open. The mental health impacts Caused by isolation from virtual learning are likely worse for many middle & high school age students than the physical health risks of catching COVID.

If Blue Springs and surrounding schools are in school how can we justify being out? We are in the same county. Same part of the county. We can do better.

You are killing our children by NOT letting them go to school. My children have been so affected by this nonsense. They need their friends and their teachers.
