White supremacy has no place in my neighborhood

I have known Ross for many, many years. In the past years, he has increasingly become an agitator, contrarian and provocateur. Though he was the best man at my wedding, I no longer have ties to him personally. He actively engages in perpetuating conspiracy theories related to race, sexuality and anti-science rhetoric. He does not belong in the CO OP community. I STRONGLY agree that If you cannot engage in a a reasonable conversation and convince him to denounce his current ideologies - the only reasonable course is to cease any kind of relationship with him with regards to the coop. This must not be allowed to continue.

White supremacy should have no place in this country, or anywhere else.

I was an Open Harvest member when I lived in Lincoln, and the board has been a problem for years. I'm praying for justice here, the community deserves it.

I will no longer be shopping at or supporting Open Harvest until these demands are met, which quite frankly, aren’t asking a lot.

I hope that this petition will help Open Harvest live up to its highest values; in particular, rejection of bigotry and protection of and fairness to its staff.

As a member owner, I stand in solidarity with Open Harvest community members and its workers, and its neighbors. Ignoring intolerance does not grow a community and harms everyone.

I cannot be a member of an organization that facilitates white supremacy in any way, shape, or form. We have to do better as a society by demanding change and requiring organizations to do the same.

Open Harvest is a place that serves as a safe place in the Near South community. However, the Near South community also serves as a neighborhood for many BIPOC. if Open Harvest wants to continue being the safe place for Near South it is, then OH needs to respect where they are, in community and in history.

Now is the time to begin repairing the harms that the co-op has been complicit in. As a member owner, I stand in solidarity with community members and workers of Open Harvest.
