I support opening this land for all forms of public use. It will be an excellent get away for families and outdoor enthusiasts.

It is great to have a fairly distributed area with hunting, hiking, OHV use, and variety of different uses of the area.

I think it’s a great idea to open up the land for a variety of public uses. In my experience, people who engage in outdoor activities such as the one listed above have a great level of respect for the land. They take care of the land, pick up more trash than they bring in and understand how important it is to follow the rules. Often times trail maintenance days are scheduled to keep up with the trail needs.
Having available trail options like the one that’s proposed keeps people from driving where they shouldn’t. Having a legal, responsible option is what outdoor enthusiasts are craving! They will take care of it!
Those who oppose this have a closed minded view. They have a fear that is unsubstantiated, believing users of the land will abuse it. This couldn’t be further from the truth. There are organizations that are dedicated to promoting and caring for lands like these. StayTheTrail.org is an example of an organization that exists solely for the purpose of caring for the land the public has been granted access to use so that we the public can have continued use for years to come.
This is a great opportunity and I hope those who are in power will share this power with the public. Give citizens a chance to prove you right, and grant access!

Give us designated areas to help keep the idiots from trashing other/all areas.
