It is not fair to be treated like a second class citizen. I’ve been an avid fossil hunter for nearly 50 years. I am available if I could be any help in any form. From in Arundel county

It was all because someone FALSELY believed someone was hurt, and called 911 when unneeded.

All other beaches along the 26 miles of Calvert Cliffs are not restricted except for Calvert Cliffs State Park. Fossil hunters are aware of possible cliff falls or other injuries. At the very least please open up these great fossil hunting sites to Calvert County residents and post signs stating that fossil hunters can hunt at their own risk and that the town will not be held accountable. There are plenty of other hazards along any beach to include ray barb stings, jelly fish stings, snakes, broken glass, etc. It goes without saying that the sign should include no digging in the cliff. There are cliff falls along the whole 26 miles of beach where there are cliffs. Why block off Brownies and Randal's because of a possibility. I am a disabled veteran and find solice in these cliffs and the Chesapeake Bay.

No reason for this beach to be closed except to show how powerful you are!
