Yes, the dam should be made accessible to the handicapped, but closing it for everyone is hardly a good solution! And also, Comal Park should stay open through at least November, if not the whole year!

I am so sad this is now closed to us. I loved walking across the dam. The view is so beautiful!

More handicap access is needed and very important however, closing access to everyone isn't an answer.

I love our dam...please don't take it away from us locals that enjoy the peace there. It is part of why we love this area.

Keep all the canyon lake parks open. It's something our children enjoy doing and gets them off video games.

This is unfair to everyone that uses the dam daily to close it. There is plenty of proof that people in wheelchairs have been on the dam often!

Sounds great, and the public parls should remain open while the details are worked out

Respectfully asking you to quickly make the 2 gate accesses wheelchair friendly and to replace the formerly removed benches for the elderly and handicapped to enjoy. Also asks you to reopen North Park for free pedestrian traffic with a sign saying, “Please have your dogs on leash.”
I will be happy to donate for a welder to fix the gates as I am sure many Canyon Lake residents would also.
Re-open the DAM!
